East Coast Park

01 Apr

Originally, we had no plan for the past weekend. Since we had nothing in plan, I decided that we should settle our brunch at The Prata Place because I have always mentioned that they serve the best pratas around.

His chicken briyani

My yummy egg and cheese prata.. so cripsy!

After the meal, we decided to head to the east coast since we haven’t been exploring this part of Singapore. From the few searches on Google, we found that there is a beach in the east coast. So, to East Coast Park we went! Getting there was not straight-forward. We arrived at East Coast Park at approximately 1:50PM. The park is really huge! We later found out that the park stretches over 15km.
The weather was really hot that afternoon. We tried to find shade under trees as best as we could. We took a stroll along the park and started doing photo shoots. We became each other’s models. Haha.

There were a lot of people at the park. There are many activities that you can do as well! As you walk along the coastline, you can find many roller blades and bicycles rental stalls. Bicycles go as low as $8 for two hours (they put it as $8 for an hour, subsequent hour free!) and you can rent roller blades (including the gears for your knee and elbow) at $10. There is also a small lake designed for people who would like to do water ski.

I have always wanted to try riding a tandem twin bicycle. Guess what? They have tandem twin bicycles there too! Yeah! But… he seemed not too interested :( So, we walked for a while and continued shooting more photographs.

An hour later, he suggested that we should rent that twin bicycle. Yahoo!

The silly girl

We cycled for about an hour along the coastline, stopped a couple of times whenever we spotted any nice sceneries.

Beautiful trees. Good for..

..climbing too

The real monkey!

Finally, we called it a day after a tea break at Mc Cafe.
